I think the key word here is "permission". Just like the desktop icon, it's
ok to create things in "My Documents"e, as long as the user explicitly
allows it.

I just tried the installer: if I uncheck "Templates and Themes", I still get
a "MyLife Organized" folder in "my documents", with a single file
mlo_log.txt (which, on an unrelated matter, I think is rather confusing for
users --- "Can I delete this? This is not mine. I have no idea what this
is.", and similar thoughts).

Maybe it's all a matter of adding a checkbox "MyLife Organized Demo File" to
the install. I, for example, am interested in custom themes, but am not
interested in the demo file.

But, with so much important stuff feature-wise going on in MLO, I really
feel like nitpicking at this point! :)

All the best,

1) But it is not settings. It is your MLO documents (your documents).
2) Users should be able to find MLO documents easily. "My Documents"
is the best place for this. This is the place specially designed for
this.
