An easy work around is to create a dependency or a sub-task with a due date of 5th. Name this dependency/sub-task something like "DELETE ME". When "DELETE ME" appears in your To Do list on the 5th, delete it, activating the parent task. Since you have deleted the dependency/sub- task, the repeating task continue to repeat as it had before.
