Nick, what I'm doing... I "mark" my projects in MLO using an asterisk

* Project 1
* Project 2
* Project 3

Doing that, I'm still able to "hiding" them in OL by setting a filter
to my customized views.

This actually came from times, when we did not yet have those
wonderful options to colour tasks. Marking my projects that way, made
them looking "different", and I could always easily recognize them
being a project, which had been very helpful for me.
