"Is the new-then-deleted task visible in your MLO view (that you are syncing with Outlook?) after the sync? It sounds like it is sync'ing the new task from Outlook to MLO, then finding that the MLO view does not contain that task, and deletes it from Outlook."
In this case it is doing exactly what you have asked it to do.
