Could be a bad memory chip.  Does everything else on your computer run
long without crashing?
Could be a corrupted database file.  Was this file created from
scratch?  Recently?  Created by import?  Had many imports?  Upgraded
from a previous version?  How old is the file approximately?  These
answers will help the developer diagnose the problem.
