I thought that if you selected an item in the Outline view, then that item should then be selected when you switch to the To Do view (provided it appears in the To Do view)
If that is correct behaviour, then it doesn't always work. I had an item which was not appearing in the To Do view because its parent had a start date in the future and the item had 'Inherit parent dates' ticked. I wanted this item to appear in the To Do view, so I selected the item in the Outline view, unticked a 'Inherit parent dates' and switched to the To Do view. Initially I thought the item hadn't appeared because nothing was highlighted in the To Do view (although a different task had a dotted line around it - not sure what this means). I then noticed that task had appeared but was not highlighted. The property pane still showed the properties for the task in question. Is this a bug? Or is it desired behaviour?
