I think it would save lots of time in creating outlines if you used the Enter and Tab keys while working in the outline to create and indent/outdent tasks. Ideally, when you press Enter, MLO would create a new entry (using the same functionality as the Insert key, which to me is much harder to get to). The Tab key (and Shift-Tab) would use the same functionality as the indent/outdent arrow buttons, which today requires that you move your mouse to the button so that you can click it.
I would think that this would be relatively easy to implement, and would replace the current functionality which doesn't do much (Enter simply selects the entry, and Tab moves you from the outline frame to the various fields on the Properties frame). The Enter and Tab keys would then do what people naturally think they should do, and is similar to how you create an outline in MS Word and other apps. BTW, for years I've been searching for a replacement to Ecco Pro, which I've always held as the gold standard for an outline-based method of organizing information. Although manufacturing discontinued 10 years ago, there are still legions of devoted fans. MLO, in my opinion, comes closest, and I'd suggest that you download a free copy of it to see how it works (enter "download Ecco Pro" in Google). It might give you some great ideas for the future, and you'll see how the Enter and Tab keys work in that application. Finally, I CAN'T WAIT for your Blackberry version that'll integrate with your desktop version. Although there are decent versions of outline-based tools on the Palm and iPhone (although they don't have a desktop version like yours, which I think is critical), there is a complete paucity of outline-based tools on the Blackberry. I think you'll sell lots of copies of MLO to Blackberry users.
