Planning is actually easily possible: you can sync with outlook and then to move relevant today tasks to calendar (+assign category "Today Plan") to appropriate time slots. I do it so sometimes when I need to plan the day carefully, it takes me 10-15 minutes in the morning. The only problem is these calendar items does not sync back to MLO, but I have never actually lacked it. In the evening or during the day, I just mark MLO tasks as completed. Easy.
