Dear forums, I am just about to create a kind of Control Journal which reminds me about actions I have to do on a weekly, biweekly, monthly... basis. My idea was to - create folders with the name of the recurrence (e.g. "weekly") and the recurrence itself (recur task one week after completion) - put the tasks, e. g. "Weekly Review" into the folder and set it to "inherit parent dates".
The "Weekly Review" task now shows the start and due dates of the parent folder, but unfortunately the task does not seem to inherit the recurrence. So whenever I create a new task in the folder, or I want to shift a "monthly" task to the "biweekly" folder, I have to - look up the recurrence details of the folder - remember them - set the recurrence of each single task to the hopefully recalled recurrence of the folder Isn't there an easier way? Or haven't I simply found the correct setting/option/function for that? Thanks alot, NiMhurchu -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
