You are completely missing the points I was making.

1. As I said, it's not that people aren't prepared to wait, it's the
lack of a roadmap or some visibility of progress that is frustrating.

2. My point about CarbonFin is that a lot of people don't need all the
bells and whistles on a mobile device. It's adoption will be by
prospective new users for MLO who will be going elsewhere and liking
what they see. I can't believe that Andrey is going through all this
effort just to retain the existing desktop user base. In the world of
Smartphone Apps there are only the quick and the dead and I'm afraid
that, at the risk of being wise after the event, a lighter limited
functionality version of MLO should have been released a long time
ago. This would have led new users to look at the desktop product. It
might already be too late as I suspect the real market now is for ipad
apps.

I think another source of frustration has been that the smartphone
development has caused the desktop development to stagnate. MLO
desktop was on a roll with the last major release and it just feels
like the impetus has been lost.

By the way, a USB stick needs a laptop/desktop to stick it into so I
wouldn't really call it a "mobile" solution.
