If you cut and paste a task, the creation and modification date change to today which is a big problem. If someone moves tasks, it means that he just wants to rearrange the tasks to a different location of the task tree. If the dates are updated to today the vital information of the original creation and modification date is lost forever. Copying, on the other hand, behaves as it should, by putting the current date and time to the newly created task. The standard Windows behavior for cut is as the one I am asking for. Dragging and dropping a task with the mouse leaves the dates intact but it is not a flexible solution if you want to move multiple scattered tasks to a new location.
