Hi, Eli. Somewhere in the settings for shortcuts (or hot keys) is a setting for how many levels of sub tasks should be shown. If you don't see or can't find it I will send you something more specific tomorrow. I presume this would allow you to choose a setting that would show your parent task and hide the sub tasks.
