I'd tend to agree that tasks that are blockers (ie dependent tasks
rest on them) should take on higher scores. Not sure how this should
be done though. I would think that, irrespective of the importance of
the individual tasks that are dependent on the blocker, the more tasks
that are dependent on it, the higher should be the scoring for that
task.

You can, of course, get around it to some extent by using the
formatting rules (eg put an icon next to it indicating how many tasks
are dependent on it). Generally though, I'd favour more customisation
to the scoring system so that people could create their own scoring
systems that work for them (perhaps with an option also to use the
existing computed scoring system instead).
