>From my personal situation i prefer the following structure: Via the RapidTask Entry I add my tasks, they all are store in the Inbox-Folder. Either immediately or then at least 3 times a day I open a special view that shows all my tasks that are still in this Inbox. From here on I move them via Ctrl+M to its approriate folder until the inbox is emtpy.
These approriate folders are actually my projects. I use a flat hierarchy with logically names to a project always sits in the root folder. Typical names of my projects are e.g.: - "JOB\ORGA\CORPORATE_WEBSITE" - "PRV\HOUSE\MY_OFFICE.MY_DESK" The first word show the life-sphere (PRV, JOB, META (that goes into both like rearching, building up knowledge, writing papers, life leadership and time management...)) the second one show the life area (e.g. HOUSE, HEALTH, CUSTOMER_PROJECTS, SPORTS, RELATIONSHIPS...) after the last backslash there goes the actual project name sometime with the dot as further separators (e.g. CORPORATE_WEBSITE, KNOWLEDGE.LANGUAGES.FRENCH)... That way I can build up a flat but logical hierarchy. When I come upon a task that won't fit into my current project list it is an indicator for me that a new project must be created... If I come upon a very big task it could be the fact that it is a project not a task, so I create a new one. Every time I stumble upon the issue that I cannot clearly define the master project a potential task belongs to this helps me to decide when to split a bigger task or when to create a new project... In the end I am able to have all my tasks sitting in the right projects that way. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
