Hi there, I'm have defined a top level task called "Roles". As substasks I created folders for my different roles. I used the "sort subtasks" function of the top-level task to sort the folders by caption to get them into alphabetical order. So far, so good.
Now, when I create a view "Active by Role" to show me all currently active tasks which have "Roles" as top-level-parent and then group them by top-level-folder (which are my roles) the order gets mixed up. I will now give you the actual order of my outline folders and then the order of the view, maybe that can help to find a solution for my problem: Outline order (only "Roles" is a task, the subtasks are folders) - Roles - - Admin - - Architect & Engineer - - Business Woman - - Educatee - - Family Member & Friend - - Finance Manager - - Globetrotter - - Green & Clean - - Healthy Woman - - Life Coach - - Sharpen the Saw This is the order created by the view (grouped by TopLevelFolder) 1) ascending order: Green & Clean Finance Manager Healthy Woman Family Member & Friend Educatee Sharpen the Saw Life Coach Globetrotter Business Woman Architect & Engineer Admin 2) descending order: the ascending order reversed (so not really a difference; still wrong sorting) The advanced setup of the view is as follows: TopLevelParentName is Roles The grouping is done by TopLevelFolder. No additional sorting, no manual sorting. One thing I noticed in the outline was that "Green & Clean" and "Healthy Woman" have task notes, Finance Manger used to have notes but not anymore. Unfortunately "Life Coach" also has notes and seems to be at the right place. So probably not the origin of my problem, but wanted to let you know anyway. Maybe it helps.
