MLO has a Goal setting for each task, which you can set to none, Week, Month, Year (but you can use these labels as liberally or strictly as you want).
It also has contexts, which you could use for more detailed, self-defined categories, creating your own views, etc. And the desktop app has Flags, which you can change the labels and the colors etc. The biggest differences are that: - Goal effects computed score for the task; Flags and Contexts do not. Goal labels cannot be customized or added. - Each task can have one Flag at a time, which is a nice feature if you want to force each task into only one category, or if you are using Contexts for other purposes. - Tasks can have as many, user defined, Contexts as you want, and Contexts can be open/closed based on time of day, etc. But, in views, you cannot sort by Context, though you can group by Context. Can you tell us more of what you are looking for in Goal Tracking, and maybe we can help figure out a way to do it.
