Thanks Ron-this makes sense and I can use Starred view now in both with this clear explanation.
I still am puzzled why the iPhone version has no way to *not* show completed tasks in starred view (I posted this at http://groups.google.com/group/MLO-iPhone/browse_thread/thread/a1285bf1a8e33a41 but no reply yet). You would think the default would be not to show completed tasks (or at least make it an option) since currently you have to first complete the task and then unstar it to make it disappear from the starred view. Hoping for an option some day...
