P.S. for smaller tasks, ie, GTD projects where my project often starts with a vague task that usually is the last step, I've just gotten in the habit of hitting Alt-Ins to make subtasks that are the previous steps and leaving the last task for the end. I especially like that I can do this in my Todo views. For example, "Bring green bean casserole, beer, and rolls to Thanksgiving" was a task I entered on the phone...then I broke it down, but that task will still be there when all the shopping and cooking is done to remind me to actually bring them.
Then again, I don't even mark these as "Projects" anymore, because they are only Projects in the GTD sense and I've started using the Project bit for my Android Projects List, to mean, "Give me a big picture of all the stuff I'm juggling right now". In those cases, where the project is something "Organize event", it could easily auto-complete. I do wish we could do this without a date, though, in our templates. I have my Travel list (which I use as a template by copying and moving out of a hidden branch) broken down into categories and subcategories in a tree and I'd love for all of the "groupings" to auto-complete but it's easier to complete them myself than to adjust the dates on all of them separately.
