Indeed, a location reminder would be pretty cool. On the Android beta one of he views is location, which is attached to your contexts. Kind of neat too, and almost there... Re relying on GPS. I run android, but also the PC version, and there are enough capabilities to locate yourself (in Europe) using router location data, or cell phone triangulation. These are often accurate from exact address to about a half a kilometer, good enough for most location needs in this case. So GPS need not be run 24/7. Also my version of android shuts down the GPS when my screen goes blank, so the power drain is limited.
