I am just trying to understand the use case here. Normally I look at the 
list, which means it would get refreshed automatically at that point, pick 
a task and do it. So at this point I am working on another app or a task 
not on the PC. Once done I come back to MLO which means it is current again 
at this point and I pick something else. I don't quite see the purpose of 
real-time updates unless you have a lot of 1-5 minute tasks every few 
minutes. Is that the case ?

One solution which I use at times is to include tasks which are due to 
start in the next hour/day/2 days so I know what's coming up.
