Wow! This gave me some ideas! AND I learned a few things. But did not
really cut it, as you said that tweaking is required.
I came upon this scheme that hopefully works.
Task: "One of Daily. Group 1" (Group 2 and 3 etc. for multiple groups)
Task reoccurs DAILY.
Advanced options under recurrence:
-reset all subtasks to uncompleted if all subtasks are completed
-Disable Automatic recurrence
-do not create a completed copy
The 'trick' is to mark the Parent 'completed' whenever I decide 'enough of
this group today' :).
So, I choose which subtask(s) to complete and mark it as such. One or more
daily. When parent is clicked, they all roll forward a day along with
their completed status. (usually the next day I want to work on a task of
the group not yet worked on in this cycle.)
SubTasks: Hide this branch in Todo. (Now, Parent [only] appears in Todo,
every day, until parent is marked completed.)
In this case I don't see if there is anything to gain by marking the parent
task as a project.
Thank you much.
