I don't believe that Grouping shows tasks under inherited contexts, because then tasks would be shown multiple times. Since Contexts can be included by many other contexts (it's more of a web than a tree) it would get really messy. Also, when you drop a task onto a group it assigns that context so it would be strange to have tasks in that list that don't actually have that context.
But if you limit your Context filter to only include "@Errands" you will see all contexts that @Errands includes, which at least for me is where it's usefulness comes in. (I'm not sure if Contexts inherit open/closed status. I suppose they can't because of the multiple parent thing...)
