I too can confirm that I'm suffering from the same issue.

I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro on the weekend, and while the MLO application 
seems to work fine, the wi-fi sync no longer works. When attempting to 
connect from an Android device the PIN entry dialog is never displayed. 
Here's what I've tried/observed:

   - I can ping from the Android device to the machine no problem.
   - Turning off the firewall and Defender made no difference.
   - I can RDP to the machine so it can detect and accept incoming 
   connections.
   - The wi-fi sync works to a Windows 7 Home Premium VM (Virtualbox) on 
   the same machine using a bridged adapter.

Therefore, it looks as though it's a Windows 8 specific issue at this point.
