Hi, Sergius.

On MLO for Android there are some task-count "badges" and one can speculate
that they will be ported to MLO/Windows but there hasn't been any
announcement.

You can tell empty folders from folders that have contents by looking for
the little triangle before the folder name in the "all tasks" view. But I
don't know what you mean by "open" tasks - I will assume that you mean
"active" tasks which in MLO means tasks that are ready to be worked on right
now, and are not waiting for anything. The triangle appears if there is any
content in the folder, whether it is an active task, a future task, a
completed task or even an empty folder at the next level down. You can clean
this up somewhat by making a new view for yourself that includes only active
items.

1. Create a new tab by clicking the little + tab ad the end of the tab
list. Give your tab a name

2. Select the "all tasks" view

3. Bring up view properties. If the left pane says "all tasks" at the
top you are ready, otherwise it will say "Views" - click on the word "views"
and it will change to "all tasks.

4. About three lines down find a button that says "show actions: all"
- click it and select "active" from the dropdown.

5. Near the bottom find a button called "save view" - click it and
give your view a new name, like "active tasks"

Does this help?

Subject: [MLO] Task count

I'm a newbie trying to use the template, "GTD-zoom for focused action." In
outline view is there a way to show task item count for each project and sub
folder? If not, how do I know which folders have open tasks? Thanks.
