Hi. I don't think you are missing anything. "Nearby" processing only
recognizes active tasks. Anything you did to remove the distant tasks from
your active tasks list would also keep them from being recognized when you
arrived at their location.

The best workaround I can recommend is this

1. Define your location-based contexts as "always closed" in the
"hours" section

2. When you arrive at a location that you know is associated with a
context (or even before you go there) bring up the "Nearby" view on your
phone and select "map"

3. Zoom out to a view wide enough to cover the full area where you
will be travelling today.

4. Contexts with active tasks are shown with a red pin. If you
followed step 1 there will not be many of these

5. Contexts with inactive tasks (or no tasks) are shown with a green
pin.

6. If you are zoomed out too far, pins may cover each other. Zoom in
to see them separately.

7. Click the pin to see the first nine or so tasks at the location.

This does not have the unsolicited reminder that you can get with active
tasks at alarmed locations but it does show you what needs to be done around
your location without cluttering up your active to-do list.

Subject: [MLO] Location based reminders?

I might be missing something obvious here but i just started setting up pro
for PC and android. How can I set up an active task that only shows up in my
to do list view when i arrive at the context location? So far i can only
make location based reminders work for active tasks but that clutters up the
to do list. Thanks in advance for any answers.
