There are actually two relevant uservoice entries. A somewhat vague “bring notes field to the next level” at http://mlo.uservoice.com/forums/9235-general/suggestions/1044987-bring-notes -field-to-the-next-level has 275 votes, while a more specific “task notes – rich text editing” at http://mlo.uservoice.com/forums/9235-general/suggestions/1479211-task-notes- rich-text-editing has 71 votes. I would recommend voting for the first one despite its vagueness as I believe large vote counts get attention. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a way for an administrator to combine similar entries. If combined, this would have 346 votes, making it the third most popular item after calendar view (marked as “planned”) and sync via dropbox (which is unfortunately not possible in the way most of its supporters seem to have in mind) making this the single most popular request that’s do-able and not scheduled.
