It does work, but unfortunately if you double tap on the entry from a synced tab-- which then goes back to the main outline, that that particular node of the tree isn't expanded so you can see the selection.. if you open the part of the list where the entry is (on the main outline) you'll see that the correct item is highlighted and selected, but the branch fails to expand so you can't see the target selection unless you go out of your way to get there...
