Hi, Yegor.

Andrey has confirmed that MLO uses whatever Android provides. If you want to
know what's happening, you should look at Google Maps. It's my opinion that
if the GPS is enabled, Android will use it and if GPS is disabled Android
will rely on cell tower triangulation. But there is a lot about location
estimates that I do not know, so I could be wrong. Google Maps shows a
circle around your current location reflecting the current degree of
accuracy. Your radius in MLO should be at least as large as the radius of
the circle Google Maps shows you when you are in the target location.
Sometimes the circle fluctuates, as for instance when the phone is having
trouble holding a GPS fix due to interference or whatever. In this case, you
should set the MLO radius to at least as large as the radius of the biggest
circle that Maps shows you.

If your radius is too large, you will get Nearby alarms when you are
somewhere else that's kind of near your target. That's annoying but imho
it's not as bad as setting the radius too small for someplace where GPS
reception is intermittent. If you do that then as the estimate becomes more
accurate and then less accurate you can start receiving floods of alarms:
arriving at location. Leaving location. Arriving at location.leaving
location. Even though you are not moving.

Subject: [MLO] Re: Question about Nearby notification in Android app

It's very interesting, because I never saw GPS icon appear in the
notification bar while using MLO nearby function... If this is the method so
you how you can know what the accuracy of your location? Because, you know,
the accuracy of GPS and cell triangulation very differ, and I would like to
know which radius to put to my location contexts....
