Unless I am missing something, if you use the Group By option in the Filter, you can choose to have the groups always expand when you return to the view; or always collapse.
What I want is for the expansion to remain as it is if I switch away from that view/tab and then switch back (the same as you have in a non-grouped view). I am using the Group by Start Date to build a quasi calendar view which I am finding very helpful for my day to day planning and what I want is to have the current day and the next day (and possibly the previous day) open and all other days closed and I would like them to remain as I left them if I switch away.
