I'd say there's advantages to both. The current Android version is the most
developed regarding functionality and although phone based it does scale pretty
well to a tablet with the exception of the home screen.

The iPad version however is specifically designed for a tablet screen and looks
much better for the most part. The exception is the task and note editors which
make very poor use of the screen real estate. There's also a couple of bugs
which means all tasks that should show don't in some date based views. However
the iOS version is currently being rewritten and the new iPhone version looks
really good, surpassing the Android version in some areas. These features will
make it to the iPad version in use course. They will then feed back into the
Android version as well of course!

So either platform will suit your requirements well. My personal favourite at
present is the iPad Mini. I just need to keep an eye on those missing tasks at
present, but that will soon be fixed.
