I have just started to use boomerang for Gmail. http://www.boomeranggmail.com/ You can easily schedule emails to re-appear in your inbox at a time / delay of your choosing. You can add notes and also delay the sending of the email. The delayed emails are found in a label called boomerang and you can even see them on their website. It is quick and easy to use and supports my zero inbox and Getting Things Done methods.
Prior to boomerang I was using Active Inbox: http://www.activeinboxhq.com/index.php This is closely linked with GTD methods and worked really well for me. I stopped using it because I share my inbox with my wife and it didn't work so well for her.
