Can you provide some more detail? I've just tried the following: I've got my first tab locked to an outline view and my second tab set up as a flat, to do list (mimicing MLO3 layout).
In the outline view, I select an item with multiple contexts. When I switch to the to do view, set up as 'Active by Context', the item is shown under the last context in its list of contexts. If I select the same item under the first context in its list, then go back to the outline view, then select a different item, then go back to the original item, then view it in the 'active by context' list, it's shown under the last of its contexts again.
