No offence taken.

All I can see is that it makes sense that the portable version keeps 
everything on the USB drive.

I am not sure that using both the USB and installed version should be an 
issue, but who know.

BUT I would think if you look in the forums and find the posts by Andrey 
that tell you how you can transfer the themes/view etc to another computer, 
then simply making a copy of those files and storing them elsewhere would 
give you a backup???  Maybe someone else can confirm.
