Hello Claire, 1) The By Project groups are sorted by Importance of the project and then (if Importance is equal) alphabetically. So "Descending" related to Importance and works as expected on Desktop. On iPhone, however, there is a bug and it will be fixed.
2) I can confirm the issue with sorting by Next Review Date on iPhone. It will be also fixed. Thanks for reporting the issues with the custom views! I really appreciate it.
