Gotcha - thanks I take it you mean "List view display mode", yes? In my defence, I did have a quick look but couldnt find it.
My general suggestion would be to find a way to make the settings more obvious. e.g. To group them by category. And for this particular setting why not just make all three options "Compact / Standard / Full view" visible at the higher level - i.e. visible before yo click "List view display mode" as this would make it much more self-explanatory.
