Hi, Grant. A recurring task must have a due date and a start date but that
doesn't have to get in your way.

One way of thinking about these dates is they show when you actually plan to
work on the task. But another way of thinking about it is that the dates show
when the task could possibly be done. In this approach, start date is the
earliest date on which the task could be done, and the due date is the date
after which the task can no longer be done.

So, consider setting up your task so that each time it reoccurs, the start
date will be the current date and the due date is about 20 years in the future.
You could do this by setting up a weekly reocurrence pattern where the task
reoccure 1040 weeks after it is completed with lead time locked and set to 2040
weeks. Then, whenever you complete the task it will be reset to say that you
cannot have your next execution of this task any earlier than today and you can
do it anytime in the next 20 years.
