I haven't been able to workaround this problem or find it in the forum.

Here's what's happening:

I'm in a 'home' view with toplevelparent='home'. I select a task. Then I
select the 'work' view with toplevelparent='work'. I hit the Insert key and
add a task.

I can see that it's being entered ABOVE the 'work' folder that's shown.
Once I hit Enter, it disappears.

When I look for it, it's not in ANY of my folders, it's not in the Inbox,
and it's not in LostAndFound. It's in "\".

I *think* this is happening because, even while I'm IN the 'work' view,
nothing is selected and task entry is not directly associated with the
folders/tasks in the view. But I don't understand why my task would go to
"\", which is really kind of a no-mans-land the way I have my views
organized. I expect my tasks to be either in the inbox (quick entry or
emailed) or they get entered in the view/folder I see on the screen.

This is easily repeatable - at least on my Win7 system. As a matter of
fact, I submit a task that goes to "\" and then hit Enter and then Insert
another and it keeps going to "\". Only when I select something in the
view, will my Inserted task be placed in the appropriate folder.

Let me know if I'm overlooking something. I stumbled into this because I
wanted to created my own (slightly modified) Inbox view - 'MyInbox'. But
when I select it after being in some other view, I can't enter tasks
directly until I click a task within the view.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Bob
