Hi, Richard. I'm not sure where column widths are stored. But you are right 
that if the sum total of all defined column widths donot fit into the 
available Window, MLO will try to shrink the caption to make it all fit. 
There are two ways to defeat this and make your caption retain its width: 
(1) delete some columns (2) shrink some other columns.
