Ah, good reminder, Pottster. IcoFx will do the conversion from .png to .ico, as well as AveIconifier and other apps. IcoFx can also extract icons from .exe files, so you can pull the MLO stock icons out for colour modification. Best thing is it's free, too.
MLO stock icons aren't to my taste. Too pastel and too feint to catch the attention and distinguish themselves from each other, imho.
