I think this is the cause. Normally, pinned tabs automatically move to the left hand side and cannot be moved in pinned mode any more. I guess MLO assumes that your pinned tabs are both on the left hand side, where they belong, but somehow you managed to move it to the right side. Maybe unpinning and pinning again solves the issue.
