I've had a problem keeping my phone synced with my laptop when both are moving between multiple WiFi networks (in which case "Unpair" is not what I want each time I switch networks- the pairing between the two devices should be consistent even when the network changes). Are there plans in the works to identify devices by some ID stored in the file or device and allow me to specify multiple WiFi networks? It's got to be an incredibly common situation to have both a laptop and cellphone moving between home and work networks on a daily basis.
Also, it's very difficult to keep synced when out of cell range, as my Android device doesn't allow you to use it as a WiFi hotspot unless it's able to find an uplink (negating WiFi sharing) and obviously cloud sync is impossible in that situation. So, ideally, I'd just be able to plug in via USB cable or something. Thanks. Suggestion for how to accomplish this: 1) make the pairing device or file dependent (ID hash or something) rather than only a function of IP of the non-android device (laptop, desktop, whatever), then allow multiple IP's to be entered on the mobile device which is Android in my case 2) make the pairing easy to accomplish from the desktop by having file access to the phone/tablet, such as when it's plugged in via USB cable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
