I'm a bit of a geek, so I've built my own little solution using Tasker with AutoVoice and AutoInput plug-ins.
I set AutoVoice so that I can say 'Add new Task', then it listens for the task name. AutoInput will open the MLO shortcut popup, enter what I said and save it to MLO. However this solution requires a lot of technical knowledge plus a rooted phone. I hadn't considered the email solution, which is much simpler.
