Nevermind. There is now an option to turn the calendar date picker on or off due to a bug on Samsung devices. I found the following post by the developer.
*"Most Samsung devices with Android 5.x are affected by an issue in the standard calendar selection control which may cause MLO to crash since we are using this control. * *Starting from MLO version 2.0.16 we introduced an option to use calendar control or not use it for date selection. This option is OFF by default for Samsung devices now.
