I'm having the same results as TotheMoonAlice with Android MLO2.  I can not 
get any auto-sync to work. I agree that this is frustrating to have to 
remember to sync frequently to avoid missing something.

Manually syncing works perfectly every time, in both directions.
The cloud icon with the arrow indicator always accurately displays the sync 
status.
I have the MLO Cloud Synchronization settings set to enable auto-sync and 
use cellular data.
I have updated the app several times to the latest versions.

Yet, no matter what actions I take, auto-sync never happens for me.
