Hello J. Tar, This may be too late for you, but I hope not: I've had problems with WiFi sync in the past, too, but never resulting in irrecoverable loss of data. I think that many of the other beta testers opt for cloud sync, so don't know who else has tested the WiFi sync. I find that it's quirks are pretty repeatable, but it is easy to make mistakes when resolving sync conflicts.
With the iPhone you can swipe to the right after a sync and get a banner showing how many sync conflicts there were. Tapping on that banner takes you to a screen where you can compare and resolve conflicts - I don't know whether Android has the same feature. Once you've sync'd again or the banner has gone, I don't know of a way to backtrack. It would be worth looking back through your MLO backup folder to see what's in the most recent backups, though. After changing IP address and before syncing, I always check my settings on my phone to see if local (phone) or remote (desktop) has priority in a sync conflict. I know that won't help you this time, but it's probably a useful check to make on future occasions. I hope that at least the bit about checking through backups turns out to help. Good luck.
