Hi, Alex. The way recurrence works in MLO, the formula (eg recurs the last weekend day of every third month) describes the due dat; the start date is calculated by subtracting the lead time from the due date. As a result you can't specify a recurrence without setting a due date. But you can set the due date so far in the future that it will never show up in your lists of overdue or almost-due tasks.

For example, you could set up a recurrence pattern in which you select hourly recurrence (because it is the easiest one to tweak) and set the recurrence interval to be 100y 3m which means 100 years 3 months. Then you can set the lead time to 100y. The result will be that whenever you complete the task it will reschedule itself to start three months in the future. There is a due date but it is not for 100 years so it should not cause you any problems.

Let me know if this helps.

Hello,

For example, I would like to clean the inside of a faucet usually every
3 months. This task must start counting the next 3 months after I
complete the first one, so it must start counting the 3 months after the
completion of the original task.
Because this is not a mandatory, must do or something bad will happen,
then it must not have a due date, it must only become available in my
"homeworks" context so I can see it appear in my task list.

So my question is:

Is there a way to have a task repeat itself after completion by
deferring a start date and without having a due date?

All the best

Alex
