I need to give Wine another go... I couldn't manage to install the correct dependencies to get cloud sync to work.
The Android version using ARC welder no longer works, as some while ago Google "fixed" ARC. Now the app still opens, but any clicks in popup windows are offset from where the mouse actually points to, so it is impossible to actually use it. :-( I will try to follow your suggestions and hope I can get the windows version of MLO to work again on my Chromebook. I have crouton installed and run Thunderbird on it, so the basic Ubuntu environment is there. Max Am Montag, 18.
