Hi, TMZ. I like your idea but instead of a count of modifications I would keep a count of the number of times that a task had been saved. If I change the start date and the due date on a task, to me that is one mod, not two.

I would also like to point out that everyone I know ends up overestimating how much they are going to get done tomorrow, and some of the tasks planned for tomorrow are actually going to slide to the next day. In my view, if you end up going in and fiddling with the parameters of every task that has split, that means that you are taking good time that you could use to get things done, and you are using it instead to manage your task lists. To me, this is a big no-no. I find it important to find a way to avoid assigning dates to my tasks and instead to manage them based on the open/closed schedule for the task's context, the priority (importance), and dependencies. To me, any time I find myself changing the dates for more than two tasks I consider that my approach to task management has failed and needs to be fixed.

I have a similar view ('Task Aging') but it's based on Create Date and Modified Date  and Importance. My intent appears similar to yours, I want to know which stragglers have been around a while, and based on my result set, I change its importance. I do like the idea of a Modification count. I'd be surprised, however, if they retain that level of detail in their historical tables. Pretty cool idea though. +2

I'd like to have a rule "number of modifikations" - MLO should
count, how often I change the date, name or whatever of a task.
So I could make a "procrastinate-view", in which I see tasks, I push
away by changing the start date again and again for example.
