Yet communicating with your users is key if you're looking to draw more users. I'm on the fence right now as to whether MLO 5 is going to something I can use since MLO 4 isn't. Because Andrey hasn't communicated what MLO 5 will be or what can be expected, I've decided to use Todoist for now since I needed something that worked with Google Calendar where I can see all my things for the day in one day view. If Andrey had communicated with us what we can expect with MLO 5 in December/beginning of next year then I would have held out knowing that was coming because it would have told me either way if I'll still be able to use MLO. Since I don't know anything, I moved on. Not a good way to keep users or draw those wondering if MLO 5 would be good for them.
Plus, I still think he needs to go subscription. It could be that he's happy with his small team and business as it is now but if not, he needs to switch to a subscription service so that he can add more people to his development team. There are those who currently want a Mac version of MLO but I cringe at the thought of Andrey's development cycle getting any slower than it already is.
