I could use this functionality as well.

As an example of my use case, I need to remember to claim the "Free Friday"
coupon from my local grocery store. It's only available on Friday, so if I
miss the deadline, I can't claim that week's coupon, period. However, I
still want the task to reoccur the *next* Friday. I'd like the "missed"
task to just expire, rather than to appear as overdue when I can't do
anything about it anymore. Ideally, I don't want to have to go through and
manually "skip" each task, because I actually have quite a few regular
tasks that work this way.

Is there a way to accomplish this already? If not, maybe this could be
considered a feature request? :-)

TIA!
